Killy and the original Cibo are brought back in time to when Mensab fought the silicons. The second Cibo dies in a fight with a silicon creature. The original Cibo also joins them so they can stop the gravity furnace, the device that is destroying this world. Killy pursues Mensab into an unstable parallel world and meets another Cibo. The Silicons' intent is to destroy the net terminal genes to prevent humans from taking control of the Netsphere. Killy and Cibo are spirited away by pixie-like creatures who reveal that Mensab has been infected by the silicon creatures. Two agents from Toha Industry, Mensab and Seu, defeat the creatures. Killy and Cibo face two silicon creatures and are overpowered. designed to fight the safeguard, so Killy's gun is also disabled. She still shares it with Sana-Kan, though, so Killy uses the Toha Heavy Industries filters to help Cibo maintain control. She then trasfers her consciousness into Sana-Kan's android body. With the Auhority's help, Cibo disables the safeguard and learns that Killy is a secret agent of a pre-safeguard system. Comic book death is a thing here.Ĭibo's identity has taken an electronic form as a result of her ordeal while controling the builder. It's still a pretty good scifi that has gotten me hooked, even with all the deus ex machinas the author pulls out of his ass. The story would get a solid 5-star rating with a few more clarifications on how this universe works. It's a shame that more explantions aren't included.
